Mission Statement
Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Japanese Arts Foundation is a vibrant, dedicated institution that is passionate about providing equal access, education, and support to the Japanese arts scene in Chicago's diverse community and beyond. Our goal at the JAF is to celebrate and embrace the rich tapestry of voices that contribute to the exploration and expansion of Japanese arts and culture.
Since our inception in 2016, the Japanese Arts Foundation has been steadfast in our mission to promote the appreciation and understanding of Japanese arts. We achieve this by organizing one-of-a-kind programs and providing open educational opportunities that ensure Japanese art and culture are accessible to everyone, irrespective of their background. In doing so, we proudly showcase the wealth of talent, ideas, and creativity that our multicultural community of artists, thinkers, and makers has to offer.
The Japanese Arts Foundation is wholeheartedly committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable environment in which Japanese arts can flourish. By working hand-in-hand with local artists, educators, and enthusiasts, we hope to create a lasting impact on our community and beyond.
As we continue to work towards our mission, we humbly invite you to support our efforts. If you believe in the importance of promoting and preserving Japanese arts and culture, we encourage you to consider making a donation. Your generous contribution will enable us to further expand our programming, reach a wider audience, and ultimately create a more connected and vibrant community through the power of Japanese arts.
